A video surfaced online of how a police officer was filmed by an unknown person manhandling a female for reasons best known to them, A twitter user was able to get the video and shared it on his Twitter page.
The twitter user who shared the video captioned that; “look at what the untrained officers of the Nigerian police are doing to this lady. A reliable source informs that this incident took place at Kagini Police station Abuja”.
The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, CSP took to his Twitter page also saying; Do you still remember the policemen who dragged one lady on the floor in Abuja recently? They were brought to the FHQs on Friday. It was confirmed that the particular lady in question assaulted the police sgt in the frame, hence the unpalatable scene.However the NPF felt unprofessional the conduct of the men for beating up a lady, even dragging her on the floor.
So they have been queried, while further necessary steps will be taken. Though, the lady, one Gift, has written a letter of apology to the men,but we are taking necessary actions on the matter. Thanks for your love and support always. Thanks. Ire o.
