Samuel Animashaun Perry professionally known as Broda Shaggi is a Nigerian comedian, actor, songwriter and musician. He is a native of Ishagamu in Ogun State but was born in Ikene in Ogun state. He took an interest in acting drama as influenced by his late father who was a drama teacher when he was very young.
He became notable after one of his comedy video, “Jesu In Mushin” went viral. The viral video had Aunty Shaggi whose real name is Sophia Ojireoghene asking him what he would do if Jesus Christ Is Seen In Mushin, to which he gave a funny reply.
Even though the video was a success, he was heavily blasphemed by actors to take down the video because according to them, it is mocked the name of Jesus Christ. He responded to his critics that he was an actor and there was no way he could have expressed that character if he didn’t do it the way he did it.

EARLY LIFE
According to the interview on [email protected], Broda Shaggi said he grows up in Ikene Ogun state because and his father was also born in Ikene Ogun state and works as a teacher in the town while his mother was born in Ogun State. Since his childhood he have been trying to entertain his classmate, he often engage in the teaching and leading of his classmate in cultural dance in school even in the church.
He began comedy acts numerous years back while in the University. He made plenty of characters before he later settled on the name of Broda shaggi. Broda Shaggi has been perceived in the business for his comedy and uniqueness of character. He has various awards, for example, The Future Awards Africa Nigeria Prize for Comedy and City People Music Award for Comedy Act of the Year.
